Business Development Manager

The candidate for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities within Air and Ocean freight sales on an international level. While also maintaining a book of customers through positive relationship building. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.

This is an exciting role due to the growth and support in the Chicago office for this particular client. They have outlined huge growth plans positioning sales talent as the future of the leadership team for the business. They are also open to people who just want to come in, knuckle down, and earn good commission on the business they have and have no focus on taking on leadership for the time being.

Responsibilities
Identify and then acquire new customers in your specific field through a consultative approach
Successfully create business from new and existing customer accounts
Manage complex negotiations with senior-level executives
Build rapport and establish long-term relationships with customers

Qualifications
3 years + of carrying sales experience in International freight sales
Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota
Strong written and verbal communication skills
