The Defense Sector Growth Office is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Analysis Lead to support the Sector Growth Senior Vice President with carrying out function-wide operational initiatives. Specifically, this role is responsible for leading projects and collaborating with business development and capture leaders across the Sector. The selected candidate will apply sound judgment to the most complex planning, design, technical, and management functions. Effectiveness will be determined by this individual's ability to quickly form partnerships across Sector and Business Areas and to facilitate efficient and effective business operations. The Analysis Lead serves as the primary point of contact for cross organizational projects.
Reporting to the Defense Sector Growth Senior Vice President (SVP), primary responsibilities will include: Supports the Sector Growth SVP in the design and implementation for overall strategy of the business and day-to-day operations.Supports coordination of Strategy to Action plans across the Defense SectorProvides decision support through data gathering, information analysis, and presentation of relevant considerations to key stakeholders.Oversees strategic initiatives, from development through successful execution, under the guidance of the Sector SVP and Business Area growth leadership.Aids the Sector SVP in identifying and assessing scenarios requiring insight for problem resolution; 'Internal Blocking & Tackling'.This role is responsible for prioritization and material preparation for internal and external events, key customer meetings, speaking engagements, company site visits and conferencesCoordinates with the Growth SVP and Defense Sector management team in strategic planning, policy development, budget development/adherence, and decision-making.Develops project plans and deliverables that meet identified requirements by application of, or in accordance with, accepted Project Management principles. Ensures assigned individuals are executing all phases of identified and assigned tasks from the Growth SVP and and provides appropriate tracking and reporting per plan.Consults with senior management, project sponsors, and/or other stakeholders regarding the interpretation of work-around, recovery plans, work scope changes, etc. for multiple projects.Anticipates, identifies, and troubleshoots issues of concern or significance, and exercising discretion to provide timely information and necessary updates across multiples stakeholders.Develops relationships with sector functional management to support execution coherence across the sector.Collaborates with leadership regarding possible workaround, recovery plans, work scope changes, etc. Applies judgment to the most complex planning, design, technical and/or management functions. Provides oversight support of all internal and external communications produced by the Sector Growth organizationExecutes and supports other operational projects as assigned by the Sector SVP.As needed, act as representative for the Sector SVP, approvals as directed. Typical Education, Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university required, combined with 12+ years of relevant experience and leadership responsibilities, including demonstrated proficiency in project management.Proven capability to apply strong diplomatic, leadership and problem-solving skills to enable and enhance the daily operations of the Sector.Strong capability to interact with senior management on controversial situations or influencing and persuading other senior level leaders.Excellent verbal (including presentation) and written communication skills, including ability to establish positive and productive working relationships inside and outside the company.Proven problem solver who can make clear-headed decisions while under pressure.High level of knowledge and acumen with program management/scheduling tools, Microsoft Suite (Powerpoint, Excel, etc.)Prior experience in Business Development and understanding of Leidos Win Plan. Strong financial acumen: understanding of Gross Awards, Backlog, Factoring, and Book-to-Bill. Pay Range:Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
