Special Operations & Training Business Development/Operational Sales Principle - Job Description The Special Operations & Training Portfolio, Modernization & Training Business Line requires a Business Development and operational Sales Principal to support our Federal Government market. This position partners with business development and sales leads to develop, maintain, and advance client relationships through business development strategies, sales strategies, and client contacts, resulting in new contracts and added value for our portfolio. Primary Responsibilities Partners with Special Operations & Training Portfolio Management to identify new developments within multiple markets and proposes growth-related initiatives. Develops and maintains relationships with clients, business development, operations, and inside sales team; cultivates new clients and business proposals. Assumes primary responsibility for client relationships, business development, and sales strategies. Leads business development of sales strategies, win plans, and go/no-go decisions, working closely with inside sales and operations throughout the sales process. Tracks and shares client relationship developments with the sales team through call reports and sales database entries. Maintains and enforces client confidentiality, procurement integrity, gatekeeper approval, and company Identity Program compliance. Leads pricing strategy development, pricing reviews, and develops bid & proposal estimates. Works with Modernization & Training Business Line business development, sales, and operations teams to assess resource availability and assemble project teams. Passionate about delivery, quality, and presentation of proposals. Advanced verbal and written command of the English language. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Strong capability in Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of database applications. Willingness to support others and a strong collaborative ethos. Willing to play an essential role in a team environment and lead by example to enable a successful outcome. Qualifications - External • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Top Secret/SCI security clearance. A BS or BA in marketing or a related field is required. At least 10 years of relevant experience is required. 5 years minimum experience in business development required. 5 years minimum experience in operational sales preferred. 5 years of large project/ program management experience preferred. Prefer local to Sierra Vista, CA $100k-$105k salary • Demonstrated leadership ability. • Capability in Microsoft Office Suite. Experienced at bid editing, proofreading, and formatting services. Ability to understand and solve customer issues - encouraging early engagement on opportunities via customer value propositions. #ANSDefense #cjpost Essential Functions Physical Requirements: Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Work Environment: Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates. Needs to be able to work well with co-workers and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions Equipment and Machines: Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required. Attendance: Regular hours will be between Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements. Other Essential Functions: Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer's locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary.
