About the Role: Are you a go-getter with a knack for building relationships and a passion for making waves in the industrial and the water works industry? Weld-On is on the hunt for a self-driven, motivated, and energetic hybrid Business Development Representative and inside sales team member to spearhead our growth efforts in key segments and geographies. In this role, you will not only drive sales but also serve as a brand advocate, helping educate distributors and end users about Weld-On's products and the Weld-On difference. The person in this role will also help with store visits to support Weld-On's position as a market leader in our industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prospecting: Identify and target potential clients in the industrial and waterworks customers in California and any additional key territories identified to drive growth.Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, distributors, and partners.Product Knowledge: Become a subject matter expert in Weld-On's adhesive and solvent cement and primer products, understanding how they meet the unique needs of the industry.Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives.Store Conversions: Collaborate with store personnel to drive conversions through effective merchandising, product displays, and training.Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Weld-On at industry events, trade shows, and distributor training sessions, promoting our products and educating stakeholders.Training: Schedule and provide training sessions for distributors, end users, and store staff on Weld-On products and best practices.Collaboration: Work closely with Weld-On sales, marketing, and technical service teams to align strategies and maximize business opportunities.Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.Thought Leadership: Aspire to be a thought leader in the industry by staying ahead of industry developments and sharing insights within the organization and with clients.Qualifications: Sales Experience: Five to seven years of sales experience, proven track record in sales, preferably in the markets in which Weld-On serves.Self-Motivated: A proactive, results-oriented approach with the ability to work independently and meet or exceed targets.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly.Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Industrial & waterworks customers and products is a plus.Networking: Strong networking and relationship-building skills.Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel within California as needed and to Weld-On headquarters.Degree: BS or BA in marketing or business.What We Offer: Competitive base salary with performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and retirement plans.Ongoing training and development opportunities.A supportive and collaborative work environment.The chance to be part of a growing and innovative company with a legacy of excellence.If you are a motivated, goal-oriented individual with a passion for sales and a genuine interest in the irrigation, landscaping, or pool industry, we want to hear from you!
