We're looking for a Business Development Representative (Contract to Hire - Hybrid (Chicago))
We need a self-motivated and highly driven Sales professional to join our marketing team as a Business Development Representative. This will be a hybrid role, working from our downtown Chicago office Tuesdays and Thursdays, and remote the rest of the week. In this role, you need to be comfortable navigating external resources to qualify target customers for a potential fit with our
Built In Employer Branding & Recruitment solutions
and open up new opportunities to expand our business.
The goal is to cultivate relationships with prospective customers, develop qualified leads from our marketing initiatives and build pipeline for the Account Executives. You will be responsible for managing all inbound lead channels and converting them to qualified sales opportunities for our team. You will have the opportunity to work closely with both our marketing and sales teams.
How you'll contribute
Qualify and follow up on a high volume of leads effectively and efficiently
Generate high quality, high activity (call and email) volume daily
Achieve and maintain monthly quotas of qualified opportunities
Meticulously track your activities in our CRM (Salesforce) and leverage tech tools to execute your sales strategy (Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.)
Skillfully leverage prospecting channels such as cold calling, email and social media to set sales meetings for Account Executives
Understand a prospect's needs and effectively communicate how Built In will meet them
Partner with the marketing team to provide feedback and enhance campaigns to increase lead conversions
What you need
1-2 years experience in Sales, Sales Development, Business Development, or Lead Generation
Proven ability to cold call, cold email and confidently execute creative prospecting techniques
Comfort using Salesforce.com, LinkedIn and other pipeline management tools [plus, not required]
You are organized and diligent with follow through
You are relentless in pursuit of your goals, and resilient in the face of a challenge or ambiguity
You are motivated to develop your sales or marketing acumen and are passionate about accelerating your career within a Sales or Marketing Team
Salary & Location
The estimated salary for this position is $20/hour at 40 hours per week. This position is located in Chicago and expect this hire to be in office 2 days per week.
