Core Hours: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, M-F, flexible hours possible
Additional hours outside the above times/days may be required to support project activities. Periodic travel outside the SoCal area may be required.
Position Description: Seeking an individual to spearhead our Automation Division's Industrial and Process Control business development activities.
Qualifications – Required: At least 10 years of experience in customer service, marketing or a sales-related fieldExtensive experience selling industrial and process automation servicesProven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closingStrong knowledge of business and sales growth techniquesExtensive contact list of Southern California customers utilizing industrial automation and process controlBasic understanding of PLC/DCS automation systems and instrumentation from both the hardware and software aspectsExcellent knowledge and experience with MS Office productsExcellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skillsEnthusiasm for the company and its growth potentialQualifications – Desired but not required: Educational background in business, marketing, or finance or an engineering/technical disciplineEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutionsCreate and execute a strategic sales plan, establish sales metrics and set targetsCompile sales metrics and realistic forecasts and review with management to ensure that company sales objectives are metSeek and identify new project opportunities and clientsBuild and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needsEngage existing customers to assist in developing new after project opportunities and resolve any potential customer complaintsRespond to inquiries about the company's services and offeringsPromote other divisions as part of an overall turnkey company offeringParticipate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholdersPerform site/customer visits, as needed, to gather project informationLead efforts to determine project viability prior to expending substantial estimating hours/resourcesCollaborate with our estimating resources, as needed, to generate both ROM and detailed estimates and associated proposalsThis position is subject to a background check, drug test and ability to prove Covid vaccination status.
Language Skills: Ability to read, interpret and analyze routine business communications and to compose standard business correspondence. Must be able to present information, data, facts and figures across all organizational levels.
Physical Demands: Physical demands of this job range from working in a traditional business office (i.e., sitting, talking, using a computer, etc., in an environmentally controlled environment) to a variety of construction sites requiring walking on rugged or uneven terrain, climbing, kneeling, bending. Worksites could be located underground in tunnels or in high-rise construction.
May frequently drive or fly to project locations throughout Southern California and Regional States as well as periodically fly to project sites or required meetings.
