Position Summary As a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (BDS) , you are responsible for lead generation and sales support for the Dynacast Sales Team. Using your initiative, internal drive, and sales acumen, you will generate brand interest, sales opportunities, and customer base prospects from customer lists, industry discovery, and individual research. The successful candidate will be a highly-driven self-starter that demonstrates superb communication, organization, and time management skills.
This position will be on-site, based out of our Dynacast plant in Elgin, IL.
Key Responsibilities Business lead generation to introduce the Dynacast Business Development Managers (BDMs) to prospective clients and new industries. Communicate technical details and specifics with design and engineering staff. Generate new business development prospects, maintain solid pipeline of sales leads and new account opportunities. Partner with the Dynacast BDMs and engineering staff on prospective leads, following up and taking the lead as necessary. Maintain database of prospective clients and opportunities in Sales Force and other tools Meet a quota of opportunity creation (qualified opportunities) as assigned. Perform detailed market research, data analysis and present various reports utilizing tools such as Excel, Power Point, Sales Force, PowerBI, ZoomInfo, LeadGenius, Linked in, Google search and other tools. Other duties as assigned. Education, Skills, and Attributes 3+ years of relevant customer service experience, with an emphasis on consistent and timely direct customer contact. Sales or project management experience in a Business-to-Business environment preferred. Bachelor's degree (Business discipline preferred); equivalent work experience will be considered. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills. Positive and upbeat personality, ability to utilize a "TEAM" attitude. Self-starter; must be independent and able to work with minimal supervision. Travel to the plants may be requested on occasion.
