Job Summary
This position primarily collects, analyzes, evaluates, and standardizes data and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have strong reasoning and analytical skills, be able to identify trends, errors and provide insight in a simple and meaningful way.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will work closely with the technical teams that maintain the data and supporting software/tools as well as with business stakeholders to understand their needs and requests.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Define and build reoccurring and ad-hoc reports within industry standard BI tools and Excel Develop and maintain data sets, calculations, etc.

on new processes, system changes/modifications, user interfaces of operating systems) Advanced Excel skills and expert level formula writing ability to include if/then statements, vlookups, sumif(s), countif(s), etc. Document and translate findings into simple and understandable artifacts for business stakeholders QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS At least 10 years of experience with SQL - manipulating databases, querying, updating, and managing data At least 10 years of experience in a similar analytical role Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or R, is essential to automate repetitive tasks, manipulate data, and perform complex analyses Experience in the healthcare industry preferred A strong background in statistics and mathematics is essential for interpreting data and making predictions Ability to understand information quickly, derive insight, synthesize information clearly and concisely, and devise solutions Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques Strong knowledge of data structure, formula syntax, advanced analytics, and business intelligence Experience as an analyst/designer for modern BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau, etc. Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.
) Knowledge of 834 data, 820 files, XML and data comparison tools Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands Experienced in managing projects that cross multiple technology platforms Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job Ability to recognize the importance of HIPAA Regulations and importance of confidentiality EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in Business Intelligence, Marketing Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field Certification in SQL and/or BI tools a plus
