The Business Liaison will work on behalf of Living Resources' Employment Department and College Experience Program to help individuals with disabilities secure internship and employment opportunities.
The Business Liaison will support Employment Specialists and Career Counselors in securing competitive employment, internships, and assessment opportunities for participants of Employment Service and The College Experience Program.
The Business Liaison will draw upon existing business relationships and actively pursue new relationships with businesses based on the needs of clients and students.
In addition to contact with employers, the position requires communication with clients, families, and other organizations in the community.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field or two years of relevant experience.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in the context of employment and/or education.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Skills:
Candidates must possess excellent time management, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
Candidates must be flexible, organized, and adept at prioritizing job responsibilities.
Robust communication skills, both oral and written, are required for collaborating with both colleagues and community partners.
Candidates must maintain training requirements and should pursue additional opportunities for professional growth.
Collaboration, listening skills, and ability to effectively communicate with a diverse audience.
Salary Description
$23 to $28 an hour
