Business Officer University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: 40274 Salary: $26.48 - $53.40 Hourly Position Description: Under the direct supervision of the Finance Director, provide overall fund management for an assigned fund portfolio. Provide advice, consultation and oversight to assigned units regarding purchasing, accounts payable, and travel and entertainment expenses. Process/transact purchasing and travel transactions in the University systems. Provide advice on guidelines and fund restrictions. Monitor fund balances and prepare transfer of funds, monetary transfer of funds and expense adjustments (NPEAR) as necessary. Manage funds in portfolio on an as needed basis, reconciling ledgers, producing monthly reports and projections. Analyze expenditure trends and take actions to avoid overdrafts. Prepare and manage monthly recharge reporting. Provide support for Department functions as needed. Duties are routinely assigned and evaluated. Exercising independent initiative, incumbent is responsible for troubleshooting difficult transactional issues. Provide expert assistance to Anderson business units regarding all aspects purchasing, accounts payable and travel and entertainment expenses. Complete normal and special projects as assigned.
