What you'll be doing...This is a rotational development program lasting 20 months that provides exposure across our key sales channels within Verizon Business.
Group (VBG).
As part of the VBG Small and Medium Business Sales organization, you will help some of the world's best businesses do business smarter.
Joining a dynamic team that collaborates and provides solutions – you act as a consultant to our clients.
You will take part in meaningful work, on real-life projects, driving value during this sales development program.
You'll learn from the best minds in the industry and have a chance to build your sales acumen in an environment that's dedicated to industry superiority.
During rotations in our key business channels, you will learn foundational sales skills including hunting and prospecting for new business or growing existing accounts, you'll consult with customers to identify their business challenges and recommend tailored solutions to solve them.
You may have the opportunity to work in several of the following areas:
Retail Small/Medium Business Sales - our RSMB organization helps small businesses that often interact with our retail stores by giving them business-specific solutions and plans.Business to Business Sales - our outside sales (B2B) organization is focused on small and medium businesses.
Our sales representatives focus on our base of customers, helping them optimize their technology portfolio, and they help acquire new business customers as well.Technology Sales - the TSO is focused on the technical aspect of solutions for business customers, partnering with the sales teams to understand the customer needs and craft the best package of our services from data and voice.Sales Operations and Enablement - our Sales Operations and Enablement teams support our world class sales organizations and drive operations excellence, systems efficiency, and process improvement for all our sales channelsIn this role, you may have the opportunity to:
Use your skills to solve business challenges on impactful projects, meetings and presentations to clientsGain knowledge of daily business operationsAttend learning programs and training sessionsParticipate in networking activities with other sales professionals and business leadersManage your projects while constantly being challenged to generate smart solutionsAcquire tools and connections that will help you thrive in a competitive sales environmentBuild foundational sales skills that will help you over time gain new business and attain incremental revenue to meet sales targets while retaining, managing and growing the existing customer baseIIn addition to building your skills and experiences, you will be eligible to participate in our robust 401(k) Savings Plan which provides a dollar-for-dollar company match on the first 6% of your contributions as a percentage of your eligible pay.
You will also be eligible for holiday pay, as applicable.The compensation range for this position is between $32.00-$36.00/hour.Participants who successfully complete the Business Sales Acceleration Development Program may be considered for regular, full time sales roles based on their performance, interests, and business needs.
These post program roles will support a sales territory and carry a monthly sales quota and target.
The role will require travel in and around an assigned geographic area.
This position will include rotations in both mobile and hybrid working models, with the majority of time spent out in the field for in-person meetings and customer visits, etc.
The territory may cover, but is not limited to (city) and (city) and surrounding areas.
Must be willing to relocate upon program completion.

You'll need to have:
Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Business, Sales, Marketing, Entrepreneurial Studies, Communications, or a related field at an accredited college or university with an expected completion by June 2025.Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.Valid Driver's license.Ability to work out of one of the Verizon Business Group hubs in Basking Ridge, NJ, Boston, MA, Alpharetta, GA, Rolling Meadows, IL, Irvine CA.Willingness to work in both mobile and hybrid working models, with travel within your assigned geographic sales territory.
Expected travel may be up to approximately 50% of the time.Willingness to relocate upon successful completion of the twenty month program to be considered for a full-time sales role.Goal to launch a career in sales.Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking in school, project work, or extra-curricular activities or clubs.Demonstrated strong analytical, communication/relationship management, leadership and presentation skills.Demonstrated skills for business success, including project management, strategic thinking, problem-solving and the ability to diagnose and meet business demands.Experience with sales CRM solutions and data management, SalesForce, or other sales or social media tools.Eager to embark on a dynamic sales career, enthusiastic about surpassing monthly sales goals and committed to delivering exceptional results.Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, self directed, and entrepreneurial environmentDemonstrated time management and planning skills.Where you'll be workingIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
