OhioMeansJobs Knox County is seeking a Business Services Specialist.
This is a full-time position with a starting hourly wage of $18.65, with scheduled increases.
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Essential Functions
As a Business Services Specialist, you will serve the public and businesses by implementing federal and state regulations, workforce development board policy, and agency practices.
You will develop relationships with employers to secure job openings for OhioMeansJobs (OMJ) center customers.
You will assist businesses in recruiting and retaining employees, accessing available services, and provide workforce solutions and support.

Job Standards Education Associate degree in Business, Marketing, or Human Resources.Alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent with a combination of three years of related work experience and/or professional development training.Required Skills and Experience At least one year of related work experience serving business customers with staffing, retention, and workforce development needs.Demonstrated knowledge of private sector business operations.General knowledge of human resources, legal aspects of job search processes, interviewing, and employee selection.Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.Outgoing personality, comfortable meeting new people and promoting services.Experience with preparing and giving presentations to small and large groups of people.
Professional appearance.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Efficiently operate multiple computer programs simultaneously.Experienced using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
and managing promotional content.
Professional communication skills, both oral and written.Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Impeccable attention to detail.Organizational skills and ability to prioritize and reprioritize tasks in a fast-paced office.Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
