Job Summary:
The Business Solutions Consultant facilitates the discovery, selection, and implementation of technical solutions by providing consultative subject-matter expertise on business processes and associated technology needs.
-Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated business processes and associated technologies.
-Leads Discovery efforts by guiding appropriate business and technology personnel through collaborative solutioning processes.
-Provides innovative thought leadership to solve business technology issues.
-Facilitates documentation activities throughout discovery and solutioning phases.
-Provides SME consultation as needed during all phases of the project delivery process and on designated operationalized systems/solutions.
-Employs problem solving and critical thinking skills to facilitate issue resolution for projects, processes, and operationalized systems/solutions.
Requirements:
-BS/BA degree required.
-5+ years of relevant work experience required.
-Property Cas Insurance Industry Experience required.
-Familiar with agile visioning (or similar strategies) for project discovery and solutioning.
-Ability to educate and lead others through discovery and solutioning activities.
-Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership.
-Strong discovery, critical thinking, time management, initiative, and interpersonal skills.
-Strong business and technology understanding.
-Experience with Microsoft Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
-Experience with project and collaborations tools such as MS Teams, Azure DevOps (ADO), Webex, and Miro.
-Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and written.
-Some off-hours support and travel may be required.
-Provides exceptional customer service and adheres to the Lockton philosophies.
-Understands when circumstances require persuasion, conciliation, assertiveness, or other approaches and reacts appropriately.
