Role Description:We are currently seeking an experienced Business Systems and Reporting Analyst – Agreement to Cash to join our global Finance team. We are looking for someone with a strong business mindset and proven advanced analytical skills. As a Business Systems and Reporting Analyst on the Accounts Receivable team you will work at the crossroads of strategy and data to tackle problems and uncover business opportunities across the organization. You'll work to help refine what we measure and how we interpret and use that data to inform business decisions. You'll work with individual teams to enhance their use of data to improve efficiencies, identify areas that overlap, and you'll continually teach what you learn to others.
The primary responsibility will be to work alongside various teams to provide data insights (role breakout is 80% reporting/20% business/finance analysis) and intelligence. In the role, you will interact with stakeholders across the company and ultimately own the reporting and data analysis process. In this role you will integrate data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements, programs and maintain report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources. You'll be responsible for data management (details and presentation), querying, and report delivery/maintenance. You will also support additional team functions such as strategic analyses and data integrity projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, create, improve, and maintain reports and dashboards to help identify business issues, find new ways of evaluating performance, and identify trends in the business to support the Account Receivable, Billing, and Cash Application teams internal functions and processes.
Create data sets in SQL from existing company applications.
Generate analyses to support internal and external requests as well as strategic initiatives.
Serve as a data expert to internal partners and work with them to support their analytic requirements.
Document analytics and reporting processes and create user guides for internal partners.
Identify gaps in data collection needs to meet reporting and analytics requirements.
Manage strict adherence to reporting calendar.
Actively evaluate dataset quality and accuracy of reporting
Lead ad hoc reporting requests.
Promote a data-driven organization and empower teams with actionable data and with automated and intuitive, reliable reports and KPI dashboards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, computer science, or related field from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College
A track record of commitment to prior employers
Prior experience in reporting/data analysis preferably for the finance department within a large dynamic corporate environment
2+ years of hands-on experience using MS SQL Server, and/or other BI platforms & data warehouse tools, e.g.: Tableau, Power BI
Proficiency writing and working with SQL scripts and MS Access processes, advanced skills manipulating and preparing data in Excel. All qualified candidates will be given an assessment to determine their knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2016
Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
Proven written and oral communication with excellent ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related
Experience in the real estate and/or software industry
Ability to train colleagues to write basic SQL scripts+
Experience with Oracle
Organized thinker and excellent communicator, verbal and in writing – customer service focused with a history of working successfully with both financial and non-finance professionals.
An analytical business background, problem-solving skills, strategic thinking and high attention to detail
Able to prioritize effectively, and to balance multiple projects and daily/weekly process expectations with concurrent deadlines.
