Business Unit Control – Finance Control

The Business Unit Control: Finance Control team is responsible for setting policies that govern access to data, input methodologies and clearly defined usage for finance data used on daily and monthly proposes across the firm. This role will be responsible for all non-revenue inputs into daily NAV estimates and final month end actualization. In addition, this role will create a new BAU function that monitors and reconciles finance data to ensure consistency across business functions.
Management and build out of new, strategic Control processes and platforms.
Ownership of all project management, including outlining policy, writing business and technical specifications, and testing/validation for new and iterative implementation.
Responsible for gathering requirements and detailing system specifications.
Partner across departments, specifically BA and development teams, and finance to identify risks and implement solutions.
Utilize deep data analytics skills to ensure accuracy of specs, implementation, and testing.
Manage multiple short, medium, and long-term projects related to Finance data integrity and consistency, controlling data throughout the month end close process, and building new function to monitor data for errors or inconsistencies throughout the month.
Ensure proper transition and deployment of projects and systems.

Qualifications/Skills Required

10+ years of experience
CPA required
Deep knowledge of full month-end close process including calculations of management, incentive and compensation fees
Experience working at a multi-manager fund strongly preferred
Strong data analytics skills. Very strong excel skills required. SQL and other programming languages a plus.
Experience with T0 and T+1 P&L production and senior management reporting
Experience with P&L controls & reconciliations; General ledger and accounting data
Automation/process improvement; project skills
Oracle/Geneva knowledge a plus
Outstanding verbal and communication skills, with ability to interact with individuals of all levels
Proven ability to contribute in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual's experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package
