Dixon is looking for a Buyer to join our team in Dallas, NC! This person will be involved in all aspects of purchasing with domestic as well as international suppliers. They will prepare, review and track purchase orders through the purchasing process. Be responsible for inputting changes into the purchasing system, including inventory purchase orders, price changes and system updates. Prepare and file purchasing related documents. Will also handle procuring materials, equipment and services. Ensure contracts with suppliers and vendors are consistent with corporate objectives and participate in contract negotiations with top negotiators. Responsibilities: Prepare, review and track purchase orders through the purchasing process Input inventory purchase orders, price changes and system updates Prepare and file purchasing related documents Procure materials, equipment and services Participate in contract negotiations Competencies: Minimum 5-7 years experience in purchasing, supply chain, leadership or business role required Bachelors Degree required Sales/Manufacturing experience preferred Strong computer skills Excellent communication skills Experienced in negotiating vendor pricing Experienced measuring vendor quality & delivery performance Customer focused, great listener Great attitude Flexible personality Doesn't get easily frustrated Familiarity with Logility or similar forecasting systems a plus CSCP Certification desired The Dixon Group is an equal opportunity employer.
