\n RoleAlliance North America (ANA), a high growth company, is looking for a motivated buyer to join the purchasing team. This position will be responsible for the supply planning, purchase order execution, and leveraging purchasing principles to maintain on time material and supplies to ANA's Supply Chain. The primary role includes collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the supply plan and report back orders, supplies constraints, or missing products and ensure follow up on same. Purchasing for assembly or manufacturing experience preferred. ResponsibilitiesPlan and create purchase orders for manufacturing materials, supplies, and other applicable items.Responsible for finding savings opportunities and negotiating cost reductions with supplier partners.Follow up on delivery confirmations and update dates into the ERP system and maintain accuracy for each purchase order.Timely review order confirmations from vendors, update correct pricing in the system.Follow up on back orders and past due orders and communicate with planning and other internal stake holders on the status of the purchase orders and expected delivery dates.Work with internal partners to resolve issues related to purchased materials, including product/material/service quality, and returns.Manage stocking levels while identifying critical stock outs and potential stock outs.Ability to source new potential vendors for specified material.Maintain and update ERP system information (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central).Conduct negotiation of category items assigned if needed. Qualifications/Desired SkillsBachelor's Degree preferred (Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education) and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Two (2) years Purchasing or related experience. Knowledge of purchasing methods and techniques. Buying in a manufacturing environment is a plus.Ability to work in a collaborative and face paced environment.Drive to learn, expand knowledge, and gain more experience in purchasing.Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and remain focused on getting the materials in a timely manner.Strong organization and time management skills.Proficient with MS Office, Excel, and working knowledge of ERP & MRP systems (Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus).Strong people skills to be able to work within a team.
