Job Title: C++ Developer with QNX Experience
Location: Danvers, MA (Day 1 onsite) Type: Full-time (Onsite) Experience Level: Senior (10+ years) Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated C++ Developer with deep expertise in QNX to join our team in Danvers, MA. As a key member of our embedded systems engineering team, you will be responsible for the migration of QNX from one version to another, preferably to version 8, as well as developing and maintaining embedded applications.
Key Responsibilities QNX Migration: Lead and execute the migration of QNX operating systems from older versions to version 8. Ensure the seamless transition of all embedded systems and applications. Embedded Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain embedded applications on the QNX platform, ensuring high performance and reliability. System Design: Develop system designs and architectures for embedded applications, providing robust solutions that meet our clients' needs. Microcontroller Programming: Develop and optimize software for microcontrollers, with a preference for experience with i.MX8 processors. RTOS Expertise: Utilize Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) principles to design and implement applications that meet real-time performance constraints. Code Reviews and Documentation: Conduct thorough code reviews and maintain comprehensive documentation for all phases of development. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, QA testers, and product managers to deliver high-quality products.
Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in embedded systems development. QNX Expertise: Proven experience in developing and migrating embedded applications on QNX, specifically version 8. Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming languages. Microcontroller Knowledge: Extensive experience with microcontroller programming, particularly with i.MX8 processors. RTOS Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and their application in embedded systems. Design Skills: Strong knowledge of embedded system design, including experience with hardware-software integration. Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex embedded systems. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Experience Additional RTOS: Experience with other RTOS such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, or similar. Embedded Linux: Knowledge of embedded Linux development. Software Development Lifecycle: Familiarity with the entire software development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies. Tools and Debugging: Proficiency with development tools such as compilers, debuggers, and version control systems (e.g., Git). Peripheral Interfaces: Experience with various peripheral interfaces like UART, SPI, I2C, and Ethernet. Certifications: Relevant certifications in embedded systems or QNX are a plus.
