Principle Responsibilities ? Provide cheerful, helpful, and efficient service to all guests in their area
? Train and manage staff so that they have the knowledge to carry out a safe and fun program
? Responsible for paperwork and inventory control for the program operations, equipment, and facilities under their responsibility
? Effectively maintain a training and practitioner experience portfolio
? Monitor equipment conditions and removes any unsafe equipment
? Ensure the Climbing staff under their supervision is fully trained in all emergency procedures
? Provide periodic performance evaluations of staff and partake in disciplinary actions
? Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership
? Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications & Training ? 21 years of age or older
? Must have or able to obtain BSA COPE Director Certification
? Preferred: Minimum of 150 hours of climbing facility management experience
? Required 1+ yr. leading teams, Prefer 1+ Summit employment
? Preferred: Documented Training Assistant experience
? Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination
? Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America
Performance Results ? Completes contract period with 2-4 positive experiences
? Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants
? Contribute at least one improvement to the COPE/Boulder Cove program
? Provide at least one memorable moment that matters to a participant
Physical Requirements ? Up to 8 hours a day of either standing, walking, hiking, and the ability to lift 65-75 lbs.
