Scenic CAD Designer/Detailer

The Scenic CAD Designer is responsible for designing and providing technical solutions, creating technical specifications, and developing safe and cost-effective construction methods based on design concepts and visual information This position reports directly to the CAD Supervisor

Requirements Key Responsibilities: Create technical drawings for shop build.
Draft detailed assembly/installation drawings Research materials and hardware required for construction.
Actively communicate with construction team Work closely with the production team to meet both budget and scheduling goals.
Monitor shop standards and quality control.
Qualifications: BA or BFA preferred.
Work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Solid knowledge of scenic fabrication practices; shop fabrication experience a plus.
Proficiency with Vectorworks, MS Office required.
Experience with automation and electronics a plus.
