Work at Home Call Agent Job Title: Call Agent Location: Work at Home position in El Paso, TX Position: Regular employee position Pay: $13 per hour Position Overview: The Call Agent is responsible for handling calls that cannot be sent directly to an interpreter as quickly as possible. The incumbent determines language needs, collect customer information as needed and transfers calls to appropriate staff members. This position requires excellent customer services skills, an excellent command of the English language and well-honed data entry and typing skills. Essential Job Functions: Determining the language needs of the caller. Entering appropriate customer information as needed. Accessing appropriate databases. Quickly transferring calls to the appropriate staff member. Providing additional assistance when needed. Qualifications Native or near native fluency in English. Superior customer service skills. Ability to type with high speed and accuracy. Must be at least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the US Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with LanguageLine Solutions (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status). High school diploma or equivalent. Candidates who are currently employed by a client of LanguageLine Solutions or an affiliated LanguageLine Solutions business may not be eligible for consideration. **A pre-employment background check and drug screening is required for this position** Technical Requirements: High speed Internet connection for work related electronic communication. This internet connection should provide download speeds of no less than 5 Mbps and upload speeds of 3 Mbps, Ping value of no more than 300 ms, Jitter value of no more than 30 ms. Your home office should provide space for a desk and chair. A direct connection from the modem to the desktop or laptop must be used. Cable or fiber optic services are preferred. For optimal connectivity: Satellite service is not permissible. Must have access to a quiet space free from background noise or distraction. Physical Requirements: Must be able to operate a keyboard and mouse and remain in a stationary position in front of a computer the majority of the workday. Must use a headset for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to operate company provided software and systems to perform all aspects of the job. Must have sufficient manual dexterity to type or write. Able to lift up to 26 lbs. May be exposed to moderate noise levels; i.e. computer, audio, telephone.
