Call Center Representative

HFCU is looking for an outgoing personality to assist members and potential members with their financial transactions via phone or chat, fax and internet.
Individual will explains services, responds to problems and directs phone calls to the appropriate area.
Provides information for HFCU employees and assists with problems.
Responsibilities:
Provides members with information and direction regarding their accounts, requests, and explains services and products when needed. Maintains members account information on computer system. To act as members, advocate in offering products and services.
•Works assigned reports to provide quality control. Receive and process wire requests from members following established procedures. To meet or exceed metrics and measurements in obtaining goals set for department.
Expectations: Provide accurate, courteous, friendly, timely, and professional service to all members and potential members.
Answer phones immediately and responding to correspondence within 1 working day. To accurately and effectively troubleshoot or direct all calls.•To process member transactions with minimal errors. To add to and maintain knowledge of all new products, services, policies, and procedures. Help maintain cohesive staff sufficient to meet daily department needs.•Provide informed and professional assistance to all members and associates.
Knowledge & Skills: 3 years to 5 years of similar or related experience in a credit union or other financial environment highly preferred. 2 years to 5 years of Call Center experience. Symitar core system (Jack Henry) highly preferred. A high school diploma or GED required. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements to this job.
Work involves personal contact with others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Must be computer literate with excellent communication skills.
Must be accurate with numbers and names. Must have excellent listening skills, able to operate a 10 key calculator, typewriter and computer. Preferably the ability to speak and read both Spanish and English.
