Job Description: Camp Director The Camp Director advances the mission of expanding God's family by leading and overseeing camp operations. This role is pivotal in evangelizing, discipling, and shepherding the community as outlined in 1 Peter 5:1-4. The Director's ministry is rooted in a deep personal relationship with Christ, guiding their approach to leadership, mentorship, and evangelism.

Key Objectives: Operate summer camp with excellence, ensuring alignment with Skylark's Standards ("The Compass").Proactively recruit, hire, and nurture summer staff via relational strategies and church connections.Commit to the spiritual and professional development of staff throughout the year.Foster robust relationships with campers, families, and church communities.Drive local community and school engagement for camp enrollment.Implement marketing strategies and church promotional initiatives.Contribute to Skylark-wide objectives during offseason through specific assignments.Act as a liaison between Skylark and church partners to facilitate mission alignment and clarity. Key Responsibilities: Guide the team towards spiritual and operational camp goals.Support Director of Camping with orientation.Support Director of Camping with creation and implementation of programming.Responsible for retention of assigned partnership. Supervise and support 20-40 summer staff members.Uphold safety and wellbeing of all camp participants.Deliver spiritually enriching and engaging programs for 11 weeks.Foster positive experiences through active parent and camper engagement.Adhere to and manage the camp budget effectively.Build a network with local educational institutions and communities for staff recruitment.Hire and develop a dedicated team, guiding them in spiritual and professional growth.Ensure seamless recruitment and onboarding through excellent communication.Establish and maintain church partnerships for recruitment and promotion.Lead community and church-related marketing events.Coordinate with churches on logistical aspects and spiritual objectives.Pursue spiritual growth and professional improvement.Collaborate with the Skylark team to achieve collective goals.Meet project deadlines and objectives efficiently. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.Preferred: 2+ years in Christian camping or youth ministry leadership.Preferred: Proven experience in recruitment, hiring, and team management.A self-driven individual with a track record of meeting project timelines.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Adept at fostering relationships and cultivating a positive culture.Competent in team management and efficient operations.Proficient in Google Suite.Based in or able to work on-site in Skylark offices in Plano, Texas, and at partner churches.Willing to travel up to 30% of non-summertime for recruitment and partnership development.
