This position is a Technical Specialist role within the Interior Systems Quality team that consolidates, maintains, and actively communicates quality history and best practice knowledge, enabling robust detection and prevention of potential Interior Systems issues that could lead to customer dissatisfaction and campaigns.  The focus of the position is to lead the D&R teams through the upfront FMA process for new programs, educate the engineering teams on best practices, and close the loop on delivery of  product with world-class quality through ongoing physical vehicle reviews. 
The Interior Systems CPS TS will work closely with the Cockpit & Trim and Seats & Restraints Campaign Prevent Technical Specialists to develop common communication, data gathering, and analysis techniques and support vehicle Fresh Eyes reviews for all Interior Systems commodities. Ongoing monitoring and analysis of new and emerging quality issues within Interior commodities is expected to enable sharing latest causal factors and failure modes with upfront engineering teams. The CPS will conduct initial and final quality history deep dives with the Interior Systems engineering teams using the FMA tools and conduct virtual systems reviews using CAD ahead of the FDJ milestone. Fresh Eyes reviews will require travel to Ford Assembly plants and some supplier facilities to support launch build asssessments and milestones. 
Institute and conduct virtual Fresh Eyes reviews of Interior Systems prior to FDJ.
Lead the campaign prevent portion of the FMA process supporting the D&R team through all milestones. 
Conduct FMA awareness session and kickoff meeting for at UPV0 for all programs with affected Interior content. 
Train engineering teams in the use of FMA tools and quality history analysis.
Review carryover part assessments and assist with analysis of system interfaces for identification of new failure modes.
Review and analyze FEDE requirement cascade and classification for programs with new Interior content.
Document newly discovered part and/or process failure modes and review with upstream D&R teams.
Contribute to and share lessons learned from the Interior Systems Engineering quality history database.
Assist D&R's for update of SCCAF, DFMEA, Design Rules, and Requirements based on quality history and lessons learned.
Monitor GRID and competitive recall database for applicable lessons learned from other regions and OEM's.
Attend Interior Systems Director/Chief quality meetings to understand emerging quality issues and ICA/PCA actions. 
Attend Campaign Prevent, Fresh Eyes, High Mileage Durability, and Build Phase Event vehicle reviews representing Interior Systems Engineering. Lead the Identification and reporting of potential issues related to Interior Systems. Travel as needed to assist Seats & Restraints and Cockpit & Trim Campaign Prevent Specialists 
Present findings in appropriate Interior Systems forum with D&R and Quality teams. 

Bachelor of Science in Engineering
10 years industry experience 
6 years experience in Product Development
Skilled with quality analysis & reporting tools (FMA, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis Methodologies, GSAR, RD Mapping, Quality AI, etc.)
