This is a full-time, entry-level opportunity todemonstrateknowledge gained and apply it in a dynamic, hard-working Technology Risk & Information Security team! Responsible forassistingwith activities designed to systematically run information security, such as security investigations, intelligence, assurance, and/or other project oversight, including developing standard methodologies for information security standards and handling IT controls and compliance with regulatory mentorship.?
Security Incident Response/Threat Intelligence?Act as the front line of defense at American Express protecting the brand, employees,assetsand card members across the globe against threats 24/7/365
Minimize risk ofcyber attacksand focus on detection and response ofthreats
Monitor, detect, and respond to security events and incidents that affect AXPglobally

Infrastructure, Application, Network, Cloud, & AI/MLSecurity?Drive risk reduction through the rapid identification and remediation of vulnerabilities across the company
Deliver secure network solutions that enable secure operations andhighly availableproducts and services for ourcustomers
Safeguard AXP data, customers, and brand through continuous monitoring and testing of production applicationenvironments

Data Loss Prevention?Protect our customers, partners, and colleagues from the loss of sensitive information through normal business processes and/or maliciousactors
Monitor and block sensitive data loss where legallypermissible

Identity and Access Management/Authentication?Deliver centralized Enterprise Identity and Access Managementproducts
Provide authentication, authorization, and full lifecycle managementcapabilities
Reduce, manage, andmonitorrisk associated with identity and access to AXPresources

Cryptography/Encryption Services?Protect all forms of sensitive information, on all platforms, resulting in protection of the Brand and information assets, and regulatorycompliance
Deliver cryptographic and key management solutions, and manage andoperatesecure cryptographicplatforms
Drive continuous enhancement to dataprotection

Governance, Risk, Compliance?Bridge traditional boundaries between cyber and IT risk andgrowingpartnerships with IT and the business to drive risk reduction in thecompany
Innovate Risk Management through enhancements in tooling and automation ofprocesses; expand the capabilities of technology riskmanagement
Extend risk management and controlexpertisebeyond the information security domains into IT development organizations and thebusiness

Cyber & Technology Risk AnalyticsDevelop and implement advanced machine learning models thatidentifypatterns, anomalies, and potential cyber threats,providingreal-time insights to enhance American Express's securityposture
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build customized data-driven solutions that drive actionable recommendations, enabling these teams to make more informeddecisions
Help build the future by designing andleveragingGenerative AI products for our Cyber Security Teams to increase workplace efficiency andconsistency

Minimum Qualifications?
Enrolled in Master's degree program in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, orotherrelated field preferred?

Students must have a graduation date between December 2025?and June 2026

Preferred Qualifications
Cyber Security education and/or experiencepreferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills?

Knowledge or awareness in information security, compliance, assurance, and/or other securitystandard processesand principles?

Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
