Position: CAO Funding Specialist Supervisory Responsibility: None In This Role, You Will…
Be responsible for processing, verifying, and funding incoming sales finance applications accurately and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities: Proactively and accurately audits and funds sales finance credit applications received into application system. Works with/notifies underwriters or Manager on duty of significant errors during the contract audit process. Periodically reviews pending funding packets (apps, contracts, invoices, etc.) that have not funded for follow-up with the dealer/merchant to finalize and complete. Contacts Sales Finance dealers with answers on credit applications and sales contracts. Maintains accurate and complete records on sales finance packages processed and funded. Works with Underwriters and ensures all approval stipulations are met prior to funding. Works with Funding and Compliance Manager to provide verifications of employment and residence, receipt of merchandise. Solicits and cross-sells other loan products at verification. Ensures that sales finance and home improvement contracts adhere to all local, state, and federal laws as well as Mariner Finance compliance procedures Answers incoming telephone calls, answers customers' questions, and ensures that clients receive superior customer service. This position may require working a non-traditional schedule as worked out with the Manager and Operations Center Assistant Vice President. Evenings, weekends, and holiday hours may be included. May perform additional functions depending on demand and center staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service. Other functions include but are not limited to: completing and processing loan applications, contacting customers, answering phones, photocopying, filing, etc. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of customer service experience. One (1) year of experience working within an office environment. Proficiency in utilizing a variety of office equipment and engaging in varied duties where time management and strong attentiveness to detail and accuracy are required. Excellent interpersonal skills, including phone handling and strong communication, demonstrated through prior work experience. Preferred Qualifications: Some college coursework. Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
