What You Will Be Doing:
We seek a highly skilled Capital Projects Engineer to oversee capital investments related to the company's fixed assets. In this role, you will lead a cross-functional team of salaried and hourly stakeholders in activities such as relocation, optimization, and purchasing of fixed assets. The scope may extend from conceptual studies to project closeout. The ideal candidate will have a degree in an Engineering field, significant project engineering experience, and a background in project management within industries such as food & dairy, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or consumer products.
Functional Responsibilities:
Ensure safety and ethical conduct throughout project activities.
Foster clear and open communication among team members and stakeholders.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, and adherence to quality standards, and safety protocols.
Manage the Company's technological know-how and proprietary information.
Encourage networking and information sharing among team members.
Required Skills & Experience:
Degree in Engineering Field (Mechanical/Process/Chemical/Electrical Engineering) with 1-3 years of significant technical experience, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on work.
Onsite availability in Waverly, IA, with occasional travel (up to 5%) to other locations for factory acceptance testing (FAT) and/or equipment selection.
Project Management and Process Engineering experience within relevant industries is a plus.
Supervisory experience in managing internal and external project team members.
Strong experience in facilitating change in a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical, managerial, and leadership skills.
Project Engineering/Management expertise.
Knowledge of plant design, construction, and equipment purchasing contracts.
Familiarity with permitting requirements and regulatory standards.
In-depth understanding of dry powder processing and packaging plants or similar industries.
Hygienic and sanitary design and engineering knowledge.
Familiarity with TPM, AM, and/or EM Pillar experience.
Understanding of financial analysis, CAPEX budgeting, and preparation.
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel, Basic AutoCAD, and Visio.
Experience with Capital Investment Approval and Tracking (NIMT) tools.
Pay: $56 - $80 /hr.
