ResponsibilitiesAdminister various types of anesthesia, including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC), tailored to the specific needs of cardiac surgery patients.Perform comprehensive pre-operative assessments of cardiac surgery patients, including review of medical history, anesthesia risks, and cardiac status evaluation.Monitor hemodynamic parameters, cardiac function, and intraoperative blood volume status during cardiac surgical procedures, adjusting anesthesia levels and medications as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.Manage anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence phases with precision, ensuring hemodynamic stability and effective pain control throughout the surgical procedure.Coordinate closely with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and seamless intraoperative management of cardiac surgery patients.QualificationsMedical degree from an accredited medical school.Board certification in Anesthesiology from the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or equivalent certifying body.Fellowship training or extensive experience in cardiac anesthesia from an accredited program.Valid state medical license.Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac anesthesia techniques, intraoperative TEE interpretation, and acute care management of cardiac surgery patients.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced surgical environment.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in clinical decision-making.Commitment to patient-centered care, quality improvement, and adherence to evidence-based practice guidelines.Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing clinical situations during cardiac surgical procedures.Willingness to participate in on-call duties.
