ChristianaCare, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare, is actively recruiting a board-certified/eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join its established, hospital-based Cardiology team. About the Position Provide inpatient cardiovascular disease care while working a predictable 7on/7off schedule with day/night rotationDuties include new admissions, acute care, overnight supervision/call, while providing support for patients with heart related conditionsMaintain close collaboration with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and non-invasive cardiologists, cardiology fellows, and advanced practice clinicians to provide effective co-management of patientsCompensation & Benefits Base salary, annual bonus incentive, plus sign-on bonusHealth, prescription, dental and vision benefits403b, 457b and Defined Contribution retirement plansFully paid malpractice insuranceAbout the Team ChristianaCare Cardiovascular Consultants is a large, progressive, hospital-based cardiology group that includes 25 cardiologists and 16 advanced practice clinicians. The section of Cardiology also includes diverse community-based practices. The practice setting offers busy clinical practice, opportunities to participate in teaching of Cardiology Fellows and House staff, and engagement in clinical research. The Center for Heart and Vascular Health at Christiana Hospital sees on average 1,800 chest pain admissions and performs over 3,000 cardiac catheterizations, 1,400 PCIs, 1,600 EP procedures and 880 cardiac surgical procedures annually. The Center also provides advanced heart failure services including placement and management of left-ventricular assist devices. ChristianaCare is affiliated with the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. In addition, the Center partners with Pennsylvania Hospital for cardiac transplantation and transplant medicine services.
