Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Cardiac Job Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Days, 7 AM - 7 PM, 48 hours per week Guaranteed Hours: 48 Experience: Minimum 2 years required, 5 years preferred; Travel experience required License: RN License Certifications: CPR, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, EKG Must-Have: - Expertise in cardiac care, including monitoring and specialized procedures- Strong skills in patient assessment and care planning- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Job Description: - Provide professional nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process within established standards and practices.- Perform and reassess thorough head-to-toe assessments on patients regularly.- Deliver individualized, age-specific care supporting hemostatic regulation, hemodynamic monitoring, and physiological functioning.- Maintain accurate and thorough nursing documentation, including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, and assessments.- Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity while maintaining confidentiality.- Identify and address the psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs of patients and families, functioning as a patient advocate.- Interact professionally with patients and families, involving them in the formation of an individualized plan of care, and revising the plan as needed.- Develop and evaluate a teaching plan based on identified patient and family learning needs.- Supervise other healthcare staff involved in patient care, allocating and monitoring their work.- Assist physicians with procedures as needed and respond promptly to changes in workload.- Participate in the development and evaluation of performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and processes.- Serve as a preceptor to orient new employees and enhance professional growth through educational programs.- Ensure the proper functioning of patient care equipment, manage supplies, and assist with cost containment.- Demonstrate flexibility and organizational skills in stressful situations.- Perform housekeeping duties and assist with patient transportation as needed.- Adhere to dress code and policies on infection control, safety, and personnel guidelines.- Serve as a team leader and role model for other staff members.
