We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsAs an Echocardiographer you will be responsible for obtaining electrocardiograms used to diagnose abnormalities of the heart by attaching electrodes and operating electrocardiographic equipment. In this role:You will appropriately prepare patient for Cardiac procedures.You will perform echocardiograms and related imaging tests You will follow established surveillance, prevention, and control of infection policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring or transmitting infection by use of personal protective measures.You will assist the physician with stress echo and transesophageal echo (TEE) procedures. Follows appropriate testing procedures, integrates and relates data generated by testing procedures, and assesses questionable or erratic results.You will document all required information according to policies and procedures.You will maintain department equipment readiness and demonstrates competency on all equipment.You will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care.What qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateRegistered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer must be obtained within 1 year of employment start dateEastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds.
