Salary Range: $45.4100 - $69.8500 /hour.

Under the direction of the technical supervisor and medical director, the Cardiac Ultrasound Tech demonstrates competency and proficiency in all skills required to perform level I routine ultrasound procedures as defined by department protocols.
All technologists utilize independent judgment and the required knowledge to obtain high-quality diagnostic ultrasound images.
The technologist competently evaluates the technical quality of the images obtained before submitting them to the interpreting radiologist.
They educate the patient/family about the procedure and report all changes in the patient's status, including initiating emergency response if required.
They accurately document patient information in the appropriate hospital systems.
Hospital-based positions may require call responsibility and rotation to hospital-adjacent imaging center locations.
Performs other duties as assigned. Cardiology department only: On-call employees are required to respond to calls within 15 minutes, troubleshoot problems, provide services off-site as needed, and be available to provide services on-site as needed within 1 ½ hours of being called to respond.
Education and Experience Associate's degree or higher.
Graduate of an ARDMS-approved ultrasound program. A minimum of 3years of experience is preferred but will consider new grads. Cardiology department only: Experience with adult, neonate, and pediatric cardiac ultrasound as well as stress echocardiograms, TEEs, and Intra-Operative TEE preferred.
Certifications Required BLS American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered in one or more specialties: Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging: RDCSAE: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - Adult Echo (RCSAE) registered, Or RCS: Registered Cardiac Sonographer -Adult Echo, or registry eligible.
