Cardiologist (Regular Ft)

Southern California Permanente Medical Group is seeking an experienced, full-time non-invasive Cardiologist (M.D. or D.O.) who is board-certified.
Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of cardiac care delivered to referred patients.Participate in daily ambulatory/outpatient Cardiology clinic services at the Northport VA Healthcare Systems VA Medical Center.Consult, manage, and provide education and counseling of Veterans in preventative care.Apply evidence-based care for various cardiac conditions.Supervise comprehensive outpatient cardiac procedures.Establish a professional relationship with clinical service providers within the outpatient center.Provide telephone and curbside consultations.Screen consultative and procedural requests for appropriateness.Minimum Requirements:United States Citizenship.Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.Completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program.Proficiency in spoken and written English.Board Certified.Benefits:Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment).Competitive salary and annual performance bonus.50-55 days of paid time off per year.Traditional federal pension and federal 401K with contributions by VA.Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care insurance.Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement for CME.Free liability protection with tail coverage provided.Work Schedule:Monday-Friday 8 AM-4:30 PM.
