While in central Iowa, make a trip to Reiman Gardens or Blank Park Zoo during your off time! The role, open to IMLC candidates, requires weekend coverage (Friday 7 am to Monday 7 am) once a month, handling 1st call and rounding on Trauma/Acute Care patients, with only emergency surgeries. There may be opportunities to cover full weeks for current CT Surgeons vacations. The Level 1 trauma center, with 500 beds and using EPIC EMR, handles 323 heart, 88 thoracic, and 96 structural heart procedures annually.
