Job Description - Career and Business Development / Job Placement - Roxbury (2400096K)MassAbility is seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to fill the role of Employment Services Specialist II functioning as a Career and Business Development / Job Placement. The selected candidate will market and promote the services of MassAbility to employers and other interested parties in the office's district, as well as develop and implement various promotional programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:Gather and disseminate labor market information, and provide technical assistance concerning recruitment of the MassAbility Consumers.Solicit employer participation and obtain employment opportunity listings (Job Orders) that meet established guidelines and standards.Devise and implement strategies for the development of sector and employer-based training opportunities for persons with disabilities.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with area employers.Develop and maintain employer relationships, and act as a problem-solving liaison for employers with unfilled employment opportunities.Ensure that the MassAbility staff is aware of the employers' needs and job order specifications.Assist with planning, organizing, and conducting job fairs and special events.Establish and maintain a data bank of information on local area employers.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and MassAbility partners.Required Qualifications:Two years of job placement services experience for individuals with disabilities.Understanding and knowledge of a wide variety of occupations common to the area labor market.Knowledge of marketing & sales principles, practices, & techniques.Solid written and oral communication skills.Ability to establish rapport and working relationships with diverse individuals.Experience in stimulating interest in services, programs, and consumers.Ability to understand and implement policies and procedures.Preferred Qualifications:General knowledge of the disability community in Massachusetts.Experience with the Americans with Disability Act (ADA).Critical thinking to identify problems and develop solutions.Experience contributing to a team culture that values inclusivity.Knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion, and effective engagement.Proficient usage of Microsoft Office products.About MassAbilityMassAbility provides services that break down barriers and empower people with disabilities to live life on their own terms. Minimum Entrance Requirements:Applicants must have (A) a Bachelor's degree in a related field and (B) at least two (2) years of professional experience in relevant areas, including (C) at least one (1) year working with individuals with disabilities.
Note:Extensive travel is required; incumbents must possess a valid motor vehicle driver's license.
Substitutions:A Master's degree may be substituted for one (1) year of required experience.
