As a Career Coach, you'll oversee the orientation and on-boarding for all new hire Partners, deliver hourly in-Store training and reporting for all departments, facilitate and guide Partners in career planning and career growth, and perform administrative duties.
You'll ensure all Partners are informed and understand the career opportunities available at Joe V's Smart Shop.

What is the work?
Training / Coaching / Administration:
- Trains hourly Partners; provides individual and / or group training, demonstrations, and store walks or overviews
- Completes training administration including documentation, tracking, and assessments
- Facilitates career planning discussions with Partners and equips Partners with career tools and resources
- Works with department managers and monitors progress to ensure training activities / assignments are completed and provides accurate, timely feedback about performance
- Provides feedback / revisions to content owner on training materials
- Uses best practices, preferred methods, and JVSS SOPs to achieve training objectives
- Communicates Partner concerns to Department Manager and Top Leader when appropriate
- Promotes the learning culture of the Division
- Conducts in-store workshops, including informational career sessions
- Coordinates / supports JVSS Academy programs and processes
- Reviews weekly payroll report to ensure hours are charged properly
- Processes Partner profile changes and new hire information in PeopleSoft system
- Maintains files on hourly Store Partners, updating as needed; sends copies to Partner Service Center Digital Imaging Center
- Coordinates training, meetings, and special projects / activities
- Coordinates and tracks Store hiring needs, interviews, new hires, orientation, and exit interviews
- Prepares reports and presentations by collecting, compiling, and analyzing information and data
- Updates Partner Communication boards for total store as requested
- Provides store support for key corporate annual initiatives
What is your background?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in retail store operations or in a clerical, administrative role
- Experience in training (facilitation, delivery, group training)
- Completion of required job skills and compliance-related training
