Location: Hybrid work from home and in-office (Downtown Overland Park)
Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
In this role, you will ensure that truckload shipments get covered and executed through relationships and contacts with carriers. You will also participate in product development to improve our coverage capabilities. This position requires a blend of technical savvy, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first mindset.
Establish, grow and manage relationships with truckload carriers with the aim of covering shipments and solving problemsCover truckload shipments, assisted by in-house and third-party tools. This includes making initial contact, convincing them to work with us, documenting key contacts, onboarding them, establishing credit with them (and their factoring companies), building profiles and getting visibility to their available capacity.Solve problems with truckload coverage and service delivery as they ariseAssist with carrier vetting, approval and monitoring, ensuring compliance with our processes and proceduresEstablish and manage relationships with factoring companies who work with our carriers. This includes making initial contact, establishing credit and seeking credit limit increases as they're needed.Measure and report progress and resultsCollaborate with development and product teams to provide feedback on systems related to carrier management, coverage and service delivery, leading to product enhancementsContribute to the creation and updating of process documentation and reference materialsProvide excellent customer service to coworkers and partnersParticipate in continuous training to stay updated on product changes and enhancementsAssist with special projects and other duties as assigned Proven experience in a coverage and carrier management roleStrong understanding of software applications and ability to learn new software quicklyExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailFlexibility to work in a hybrid environment and adapt to changing schedulesTeam player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skillsFreight industry experience not required but would be usefulSales experience not required but would be useful
