The Carrier Partnership Vice President is responsible for negotiating existing and new partnerships with key carrier partners while improving carrier operating results. Strategize and drive forward new partnerships, and resolve escalated issues to maintain service excellence and compliance with insurance agencies.
Collaborate with the Chief Sales Officer for carrier partnership strategy, including setting the vision and roadmap for how we expand existing carrier partnerships and add new carriers to the portfolio.
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with carrier partners to be an ongoing source of growing profitable premiums by improving key operating metrics, customer persistency, and loss ratio.
Negotiate agreements, new initiatives, and programs to secure favorable terms and conditions with carriers.
Monitor contract and program performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Support cross-functional teams to optimize carrier integration with acquisitions for a seamless and timely transition to the Confie platform.
Support field leaders with timely and accurate updates to rating platforms.
Maintain a current carrier call wiring document that aligns Confie leaders with carrier leaders for effective engagement at both the headquarters and field level.
Act as subject matter expert on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities, potential risks, and areas for improvement in carrier relations in accordance with state and local regulations in all jurisdictions in which the Company conducts business.
Identify opportunities for improving carrier processes and services and work cross-functionally to implement continuous improvement.
Engage with carriers to ensure optimal partnership performance.
Develop and implement policies for carrier management. Monitor carrier performance and provide regular reports.
Collaborate with internal teams to align carrier strategy with organizational goals.
Resolve escalated issues to maintain service excellence.
Qualifications and Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related discipline; Master's preferred.
7+ years of progressive experience in carrier relationship management, preferably in non-standard insurance.
7+ years of licensing experience.
Proven track record of successfully cultivating and managing carrier relationships.
Deep understanding of insurance market dynamics.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with senior internal stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with the ability to construct win-win partnerships and forward-thinking ability to set the Company's carrier relations roadmap.
Existing carrier relationship to build upon.
20% travel to meet with carriers, cross-functional teams, and in the market with sales team.
Preferred Skills: Strategic and transaction selling experience.
Six Sigma and/or quality management experience.
