Key Responsibilities:
Carrier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential carriers.Rate Negotiation: Negotiate freight rates and service terms with carriers to ensure competitive pricing for clients.Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, capacity, and changes in the logistics industry to make informed decisions.Performance Monitoring: Monitor carrier performance metrics and resolve any issues related to service or capacity.Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as logistics, procurement, operations, to align carrier capabilities with business needs.Reporting: Prepare reports on carrier performance, sourcing activities, and market trends to inform decision-making.Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of experience in carrier salesSkills: Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills.Preferred Skills:
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build relationships.
