DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The Refugee & Asylee programs at LFSRM help people who have been uprooted by persecution and violence work towards self-sufficiency through essential resettlement services including case management, employment, housing, school registration, cultural orientation, and referrals to internal and external services for English language acquisition, health and mental health needs, employment, and economic development. LFSRM works with national and local organizations to provide the services and resources needed for newly arrived Refugees to thrive, achieve rapid self-sufficiency, and integrate into their new communities.

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Program Manager applies a strengths-based coaching approach to manage a team of direct service staff who work with refugee clients. The Program Manager ensures that services are holistic, equitable, trauma-informed, culturally & linguistically appropriate, and grounded in a multi2 generational approach. Leveraging client strengths and client agency, the Program Manager works collaboratively with members of the services team as well as other agency staff and external partners to ensure the smooth delivery of services.

EXAMPLE ACTIVITIES

Manages a team of direct services staff, utilizing positive team building leadership, clear communication, delegation, training, and performance evaluation to encourage individual development, and promote cooperation and team problem solving approaches.

Coordinates and oversees all team activities in support of the resettlement plan including housing, community orientation, employment, public benefits access, and health services.

Oversee all employment services.

Maintains responsibility for services to clients assigned to the team. Conducts regular review of service provision and adjustment of resettlement plans as needed, in collaboration with clients.

Coordinates initial client intake and assessment and oversees the development of resettlement plans in collaboration with clients to help them achieve their short- and long-term goals.

Conducts regular case file and data reviews for program compliance and quality assurance purposes.

Utilizes reporting and data to inform service provision and ensure program compliance with Federal and State regulations and guidance, contractual requirements, and LFSRM policy.

TRANSPORTATION
Must maintain a valid license and carry personal auto liability insurance at the level of

$100,000/300,000/100,000.

Frequent regional travel. Required to transport clients in personal vehicle.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Undergraduate degree from a four-year college or university in social work or related human services field.

Three (3) or more years of experience in case management, employment services, or social work. Experience in Refugee resettlement or Refugee services preferred.

Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience with experience with quality assurance, program monitoring, compliance, and performance assessment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to fluently speak, read, translate and write in the following language(s):

English

Fluency in a second language is helpful but not required.
