We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Cash Accountant to join our finance team. The Cash Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the company's cash accounting, ensuring accurate and timely cash reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls. What You'll Do:  Cash Accounting: Record cash receipts and disbursements in the general ledger, ensuring accurate tracking of cash transactions. Reconciliations: Perform daily bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items promptly. Internal Controls: Maintain and enhance internal controls over cash transactions to mitigate risk and ensure compliance. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits related to cash and cash equivalents. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the cash management function. Lending Support: If applicable, assist with accounting and reporting for lending activities, including loan disbursements, repayments, and interest calculations. What We Look For: Bachelor's Degree: in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in cash management or a similar accounting role. Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Excel and accounting software. Lending Experience: Familiarity with lending accounting principles and practices is a plus. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.
