What you will do Provide friendly and efficient customer service to residents, family members, and staff.
Greet customers warmly, answer questions and assist with menu inquiries.
Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently, ensuring precise transactions.
Handle cash, credit cards, and electronic payments with attention to detail.
Issue receipts and maintain proper cash drawer procedures.
Process food and beverage orders in a timely manner with accuracy.
Stay informed about daily specials, menu changes, and dietary considerations.
Assist customers in making informed choices based on their preferences and dietary needs.
Set up and maintain an appropriate cashier bank at the beginning of each shift.
Collect and record data for cash control and reporting purposes.
Stock and organize cafeteria items, including beverages, condiments, and snacks.
Ensure that merchandise displays are appealing and well-maintained.
Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.
Adhere to hygiene and sanitization standards, especially during food transactions.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate order preparation and delivery.
Address customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with other cafeteria staff to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Adhere to all company policies, including those related to cash handling, food safety, and customer service.
Be flexible and adaptable to changes in the cafeteria environment, adjusting to varying customer volumes and preferences.
Represent Thomas Cuisine with a positive and professional demeanor, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere in hospital.
What you will need 18 years or older, pending specific state requirements.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Prior experience with one-on-one customer service interaction preferred.
Strong teamwork skills.
ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card Basic computer and math skills Ability to read, speak, write and comprehend English The ability to work holiday and weekend shift schedules.
Successful candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including the ability to undergo and successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen in accordance with applicable State laws and regulations.
Ability to provide documents for work authorization.
