Job Summary
The Associate Director of Admission is a member of a four-person team of professionals that includes the Director of Admission, Associate Director of Admission and Tuition Assistance, and Admission Associate. The Associate Director of Admission works with the Director of Admission to execute all facets of a comprehensive and strategic admission, recruitment, retention and tuition assistance program.
Relationships:
The Associate Director of Admission reports directly to the Director of Admission, serves on the Admission Committee, is a member of a grade level team, and serves as an advisor to 8-10 students.
Primary Responsibilities
Represent the school at outreach events, feeder schools, and community based organization and educational consultants
Interview prospective students and families to share information relevant to Castilleja and the admission process
Evaluate applications and make recommendations to the Admission Committee.
Counsel families as they navigate independent school admission and tuition assistance processes.
With the Director of Admission and the Communications team, develop and implement our admission, marketing and communication plan
With the Director of Admission, develop and implement admissions, enrollment and operational strategies
Manage a robust Parent Ambassador program
Assist the Director with institutional research needs that includes the collection and analysis of relevant data.
Serve as academic advisor to 8-10 students
Continually seek professional development and new opportunities to improve upon existing admission and tuition assistance practices
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admission
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required
4+ years of leadership positions in independent school, higher education, or related non- profit administration
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including cross-cultural competencies, to relate well with a broad range of constituents including students, faculty & staff, administration, parents, and the community
Excellent organizational, administrative and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic recommendations on admission and enrollment management issues
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex tasks
Appreciation of single-sex education
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Google Workspace, Filemaker, Ravenna. Veracross or other CRM databases
Proficiency in another language is desirable
Qualities
Energy, initiative, creativity, compassion, ability to interact well with all ages, flexibility, cultural sensitivity, sense of humor, team player, and appreciation for independent, single-sex education, and unflappable work ethic.

Castilleja uses a competitive salary scale which takes into account the range of experience, education and skill level. The yearly salary for this position ranges from $105,000 to $120,000.
