This role involves supporting our internal customer needs by leading sourcing events and procuring vital materials and services needed in our day-to-day operations. As a category buyer, you will be responsible for utilizing a strategic mindset while aligning with specific procurement processes. You will be trusted to:
- Lead sourcing events and execute Purchase Orders for those services and materials
- Manage and replenish storeroom inventory
- Support multiple stakeholders within the organization with their procurement needs
- Follow up on existing orders with suppliers and stakeholders
- Support special projects throughout the year by representing Supply Chain and ensuring all LCRA purchasing policies and procedures are met.
You qualify with:
Two or more years of experience in procurement, logistics, warehouse operations, or inventory management or other relevant experience.
You are a great fit with:
- Expertise conducting formal and informal purchases for goods/services
- Experience managing supplier relationships
- Experience establishing and managing stakeholder relationships
- Understanding of warehouse operations
- Understanding of inventory management and control
