Budgeting and forecasting food and beverage, room rental, and audio-visual revenues for current month, 3 month, current end of year, and next yearEnhance the lead generation resulting in Food & Beverage, Guest room revenue for the property, team building and wellness services through corporate outreachSolicit and respond to inquiries regarding hosting events at the ballpark, upselling food and beverage offerings and other ballpark amenitiesCreate and execute annual and quarterly marketing plans of catering department (incorporating the group food and beverage sales contribution)Facilitate internal/external customer relationsThe ability to prepare a monthly booking reportThe ability to achieve yearly personal sales booking goalsThe ability to be fully versed in all banquet space, facilities and capabilities of competitive marketThe ability to review all function space with the Banquet Manager and Head House attendant in regards to any requirements for a group or functionThe ability to review all banquet event orders and daily and weekly banquet sheets to ensure accuracy in content spellingResponsibilities:Has a basic knowledge of Food and Beverage basics with menu pairingAdvocates sound financial/business decision makingTo develop and promote the sale of corporate and wedding eventsIncluded but not limited to are the followingWork closely with the Sales Team, Banquets Manager, and F&B Manager to ensure and maintain levels of serviceWork closely with Executive Chef in preparing menus for corporate and social functionsWork closely with F&B Manager in determining banquet bar packages and wine lists that will maintain proper beverage costsWork closely with Sales Managers to ensure proper use of function space, and menu pricing to maximize revenuesResponsible for meeting expected revenues by booking business from corporate groups which have 0 to 9 sleeping rooms per night and will utilize function spaceQualifications:Must have a complete understanding of effective catering pricing, menu selection, and creation passion and commitment to the business at an ownership levelEnsure compliance with brand standards Pearl standards and proceduresExcellent selling skills and understanding of sales processesAbility to work independently without direct supervision and cohesively as a teamMinimum two-three years of previous experience is required, preferably in the hotel industry1+ year in catering sales requiredAbout Company:Ohio's Premier Getaway Destination!Nestled between small towns and scenic landscapes, Cherry Valley Hotel welcomes you and your entire group to our newly reimagined property.While you're here, enjoy the numerous accommodations we have to offer.
