We are looking for a Cathode Process Engineer to bring up and manage our pilot-scale lab for lithium-ion battery cathode products. Responsibilities: Commission new equipment, and support R&D with pilot scale manufacturing expertiseOptimize manufacturing equipment and write SOPsSynthesize precursor materials and cathode materials for R&D and customer qualificationDrive QC at multiple points in the manufacturing processCollect and analyze sample data to optimize plant performanceProject management and progress reportingTroubleshoot large scale process and synthesis equipment Experience: BS or MS degree in Materials Science or Chemistry1-2 years in pilot scale chemical R&D (4+ years of experience for Sr level)Experience with Lithium-ion battery cathode material synthesisExperience working with slurries and/or hazardous materialsProcess control and basics/fundamentals with electricalExperience with analytical instruments/testing (PSA, SEM/microscopy, ICP, UV-Vis spectroscopy, auto-titration, tap density) Benefits: Competitive compensation package including company equityComprehensive benefits including health, vision and dental insurance, Tax-free spending accounts, along with life and disability insurances401k matching and savings programsFlexible time off with company holidaysFree daily lunch and snacks The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated base salary range for this role is $92,000-$136,000.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in a bonus and equity plan.
