Position: CDL – B DriverLocation: Kapolei, HIDivision: Integrated Marine LogisticsAffi Affiliate: Odyssey HawaiiDepartment: 5501 – Company Driver - VariableClassification: Hourly Non-ExemptCompensation Range: $20.00 - $26.00Reports to: Terminal ManagerSummary / Primary Role:The position of CDL – B Driver will have primary responsibility to perform local pick up and deliveries of freight.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:(Management may amend or assign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time)• Perform daily pre-trip, post-trip and safety inspections on equipment;• Organized and capable of managing time to meet deadlines;• Communicate with customers to determine pick up or delivery needs;• Perform freight handling using motorized and manual equipment, including forklift, pallet jack and hand truck;• Arrange freight to maximize trailer capacity, distribute weight and secure the contents with appropriate materials;• Verify documentation matches freight description;• Comply with all hazardous material regulations and procedures;• Adhere to dispatch instructions, route sequencing and communicate with dispatch as required.
