Job Summary:
Class B CDL drivers efficiently deliver our products to our customer accounts in a courteous, professional, compliant, safe and timely manner.
Drivers use a multitude of methods including manual lifting, dumping, and/or moffett unloading in multi-temperature environments.

Essential Job Functions: Delivers lumber, hardware and building materials to customer's job siteReloads pickups of lumber, hardware and building materials onto truck from job site and returns them to lumberyardComplete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment.Ability to operate vehicles in congested areas with limited space and potential obstacles.Comply with all applicable Department of Transportation regulations including but not limited: Controlled Substances, Commercial Driver Licensing, Driver Qualification, CMV Operation, Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance, etc.Assists workers in loading and unloading trucks; Inspects delivered products for quality and damaged appearance at time of deliveryEnsures all shipping documents and receipts are properly completedMaintains driver log according to state and federal regulationsUses straps to secure cargo during transitMaintains good company image by presenting a clean and neat appearance while delivering merchandise to customersAssists customers and stocks merchandise consisting of lumber and building materials when not on deliveriesStacks lumber in yard or in warehouseBuilds loadsPerforms other duties as required
Requirements
Required Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.Ability to remain focused in busy environment. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, PreferredAt least two year related experience., PreferredClass A or B CDL Safety Requirements: Wears high visibility, safety PPE, and proper uniformPerforms daily vehicle inspectionsSafely operates equipmentPromptly report all accidents/incidents and damaged productsReport any malfunctioning equipment Environmental Demands: Exposure to year-round outside weather conditions, including excessive heat, humidity, rain, cold, dust, ice/snow.Employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.The noise level is usually moderate.
