Overview:
RES is currently looking for a CDL Driver (Equipment and Fuel Delivery) professional based out of Houston, Texas.
The mission: The CDL Driver will operate various Commercial Motor Vehicles with varying configurations to deliver goods and materials throughout the Houston, Texas area and will be reporting to the Regional Fleet Manager.
What your day-to-day might look like?
:
Safely operate and maintain commercial motor vehicles, including tractor-trailers and other large trucks, in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the proper functioning and safety of the vehicle.Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant information.Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, following all safety guidelines.Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical failures promptly to the appropriate authorities and supervisors.Adhere to safety standards and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Transports hazardous materials including bulk fuel to local project sites. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of your duties.
Qualifications:
Required: Two (2) years of CDL driving, operating a class 6-8 power units.Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, CDL requirements within Texas.Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
Or willing to obtain these endorsements within thirty (30) days.Understanding of requirements related to: trailering, placarding, GVWR, intrastate transport, IFTA and HAZMAT.
