Job Description
DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking skilled CDL Laborers for our highway maintenance crew.
CDL technicians will conduct various highway maintenance services and other related tasks under close supervision.
We are seeking a qualified applicant that will train in highway/roadway routine maintenance.
Schedule: 4-day work week- Monday- Thursday.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
May operate various forms of heavy highway equipment With equipment cleans and grades ditches, drainage structures, highway road shoulders, slopes Repair work includes repair of fences, sign repair, litter debris removal, and other highway maintenance activities, including emergency response.
Use all equipment safely Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
Assist in storm cleanup.
Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
EXPERIENCE:
18 years of age or older.
Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with 3 years clean MVR required.
Strong equipment operations skills preferred.
Be able to lift fifty to sixty pounds (50 - 60lbs.)
Experience operating skid steer and dump truck preferred.
Highway maintenance or construction skills are preferred.
Ability to obtain ATSSA certification in the installation of traffic control.
Be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends.
Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and work schedules due to workload or season display.
